On Wednesday, 18th of June 2008, “Birth Choices in Greece” held

the projection of Susanne Arms film: “Giving life to the future – Childbirth: challenges and choices”

After the projection followed an open discussion about the childbirth and the condition that exist in Greece.

The event took place at the Stein building of City College, 2 Kalapothaki str, Thessaloniki.

The first meeting of the association!

On Wednesday, 19th of March 2008, at City College, in the center of Thessaloniki, took place the first meeting of the association. Sarah Hannam and Dafne Arampatzoglou, presented the “Birth Choices in Greece” campaign, as well as the aims of the association. Following, an open discussion about the future steps was done and a mailing list was created for the better information of the members. Many people were interested in the “Birth Choices in Greece” campaign, that’s why many of them became volunteers in order to help the association.

Beverley is a freelance writer, researcher, campaigner,and mother of two and has campaigned to improve maternity care since the birth of her second son in 1976.
